North Lanarkshire Provost Kenneth Duffy joined local childminders and families at today’s Teddy Bear Picnic in Duchess of Hamilton Park in Motherwell as part of Childminding Week.
The event celebrated the fantastic work Registered Professional Childminders do every day to support children and families across our communities.
It also gave children the chance to play with friends while childminders came together to chat and share experiences.
Provost Duffy said: “Childminders provide a vital service for families, and it was wonderful to see people coming together to celebrate the difference they make.”
Childminding Week is one of the flagship events in the Scottish Childminding Association calendar, as everyone comes together to celebrate and boost awareness and recognition of childminding in Scotland.
This award-winning event is an opportunity for childminders to celebrate and showcase the true value of childminding, its importance within the childcare sector
