Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 17 Brigade have intercepted four suspected stolen motorcycles in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The motorcycles were intercepted at about 7:30 pm on Tuesday, August 18, during a routine security check along the Danmusa-Mara-Kaiga road.
The troops, deployed at the Forward Operating Base Mara, stopped the riders and asked them to provide the original documents for the motorcycles.
According to security sources who spoke to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the riders left the area to obtain the documents but had not returned when the report was filed.
The four motorcycles were taken into military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
Security sources said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to monitor the movement of suspected criminals and prevent the use of unverified motorcycles in bandit activities across vulnerable areas.
