Voters turned out in their numbers at Ward 09, Unit 011, Ikire, the polling unit where the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, is expected to cast his ballot.
Some voters, who said the process had been peaceful and hitch-free, expressed confidence that their votes would count in the election.
While the youthful voters queued orderly to exercise their franchise, elderly voters were allowed to sit and were given priority to cast their ballots on time.
