Leigh Francis has revealed the nasty injury he got by a fan at a recent gig. The overzealous party goer got a bit too “hands on” when the Celebrity Juice star was performing and left him with a sore-looking scratch near his eye.
The TV star, 53, was playing a DJ set at Sound Bites festival in Syon Park, London and entered the crowd to be up close and personal. But it’s something he won’t be doing again in a hurry as he showed off his big scrape.
He took to TikTok to share the wound and reveal how it came about. He said: “I went into the crowd and someone was overcome with joy, so that was a nice feeling, and she went ‘I love you’ and put her hands towards my face and her thumbnail, which was quite long, did that.”

As he pointed to a big red scratch going from close to his eye right along the side of his temple, Leigh went on: “Could’ve been worse, could’ve gone in my eye but yeah bit of a naughty one that, innit?”
And the shocking post was met with a number of fans sending their stunned messages. One wrote: “That’s awful, not acceptable,” alongside a crying face emoji. But another tried to hit him with a joke, saying: “When it comes to being a fan, she nailed it HEEEHEEEHHHhh tha shoes be off OWWWW.”
Leigh shared an update the following day as he took fans behind the scenes of the festival. He said: “As I navigated the excitement of pumping music and connecting with the crowd, I encountered what I now refer to as my ‘war wound.’ This wasn’t just a physical mark; it represented the hard work and dedication that goes into being a performer in the DJ scene.
“Every cut, scrape, and bruise tells a story of passion and resilience in the fast-paced world of music. I want to thank everyone who has supported me on this journey, especially my followers who have encouraged me along the way.

His DJ set comes as fans pin their hopes on a return to TV. But he played down the potential last year, saying he wasn’t sure when he would be back on screen. It comes after talks of Through The Keyhole and Celebrity Juice were halted.
He said at the time: ““I haven’t pitched any ideas for TV shows in ages. If I do and someone likes it then I’ll be back but if I don’t, I won’t.”

He added: “It’s gone mad, you can’t make anything without it upsetting people. If you think you’re gonna be offended you shouldn’t watch but I can’t be bothered to get into this deep conversation.”
