Rivers United Chairman, Okey Kpalukwu has revealed his team’s ambition for the 2026-27 season.
Kpalukwu declared that their goal is to better their performance in Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.
The Pride of Rivers finished the 2025-26 campaign as runners-up to eventual champions Rangers.
“We are looking at how we are going to make corrections on our mistakes from the last campaign,” Kpalukwu told Owosports.
“Our target is to look for how we can go one step than our position last season and in the CAF Champions league which is the high you go the more money you earn.
“We are not only preparing for one game we are doing a thorough preparation to be able to compete favourable next term.
“Going into the new campaign the league body must ensure they make the league conducive for fair play to strive.”
