Martins Iyeh has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 reality show, becoming the first housemate to leave the competition after two weeks.

The 30-year-old visual storyteller and model from Kogi State was evicted during Sunday (Today) night’s live show monitored by our correspondent, after viewers’ votes determined the fate of housemates who were up for possible eviction.

PUNCH Online reports that Martins was among the 24 contestants introduced when the 11th season of the reality show premiered on July 26. The season, themed “Everything Is For The Taking” and also known as “Show Ya Sef”, has a record N160m prize package at stake, including N100m cash and an SUV.

A creative director, visual storyteller and model, Martins entered the house hoping to use the platform to showcase his personality and creativity to a wider audience. He also identified basketball among his interests and jokingly described mind-reading as one of his hidden talents.

At the start of his BBNaija journey, Martins told viewers that he was primarily interested in having fun and making the most of his time in the house.

“I came here to have fun,” he said during his introduction.

During his short stay, Martins became part of a group of housemates who bonded from the early days of the competition. He was also involved in conversations and social activities that shaped the early dynamics of the season.

His birthday was celebrated in the house shortly after the launch, with fellow housemates organising a special gathering for him. Mercedes also entertained him with a performance during the celebration, while other housemates offered prayers and goodwill messages.

The eviction comes as the competition enters another stage, with the second week producing a large pool of nominees. Sixteen housemates initially faced possible eviction after Head of House Sheba saved Chimsom Chuka, while Aikou and Flora remained protected as the season’s Gambits.

The season has already introduced several twists as the remaining housemates compete for the N160m grand prize and navigate weekly nominations, tasks, alliances and evictions.

With Martins’ exit, the number of contestants still competing for the ultimate prize has been reduced as the race for the Season 11 crown intensifies.
