Meat products recalled over potential salmonella contamination

- The recall includes products from brands such as Taylor Farms, Ready Meals, Meal Simple, Higher Harvest and Deli Kitchen, with use-by dates extending into 2026.
- The initial illnesses, reported in June, were linked to jalapeño peppers grown in Sinaloa, Mexico, and distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors.
- Major restaurant chains Chipotle and Qdoba have pulled jalapeños from some locations after a CDC investigation found 93 percent of interviewed patients had eaten at Mexican-style restaurants.
