A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three pedestrians were hit by a car.
Avon and Somerset Police said the car struck the trio in the Stokes Croft area of Bristol.
The force said two people suffered non-serious injuries, while a third suffered injuries which were not believed to be as serious as initially thought.
A man, believed to have been the driver of the vehicle, was treated for facial injuries.
He has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous driving.
He remains in custody while police inquiries continue.
Damage was also caused to a business premises during the incident, which was reported to police on Sunday morning.
Thomas Street, Hepburn Road, Stokes Croft and City Road were all closed and drivers were urged to avoid the area.
Superintendent Matt Ebbs said: “We understand incidents like this are concerning to our communities, but we would like to assure the public we do not believe there to be any wider threat, but a thorough investigation will be carried out to find out exactly what led to this incident.
“Fortunately, the injuries sustained are not as serious as first thought, and we would like to assure people there will be an ongoing, heightened police presence in the area while our inquiries continue at pace.
“We understand the incident and the cordons put in place are inconvenient during a busy weekend, but we ask for your patience as we work at pace to fully investigate this incident.
“Anybody with concerns is welcome to speak to officers on the ground, but we would also appeal to anybody with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage which may assist our inquiries to contact us.”
