Chelsea boss, Xabi Alonso has hailed the club’s summer signing, Marco Palestra.
Alonso said the 21-year-old defender is very flexible and versatile in his game.
The former Real Madrid manager spoke after Chelsea defeated AC Milan 3-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday at GBK Stadium.
“He is having a great impact,” Alonso said of Palestra as quoted by Chelsea’s website.
“He has a hunger and desire to improve and give his best, and in every game he is getting better and better.
“He played in a different position today, but I knew from his time in Italy that he is very flexible and versatile in his game.”
Palestra joined the Premier League west London club from Atalanta earlier this summer.
