One of Scotland’s best-loved bakers has just opened in a new area. Fisher & Donaldson has recently announced that it has joined the line-up at Archerfield Walled Garden.
Established in 1919, the fifth-generation run family firm has become renowned for its award-winning baked goods. Its humble beginnings from over a century ago began with a small store in Cupar.
Today it now operates seven shops across the Fife and Tayside area. Its recent opening in the Archerfield Walled Garden will mark its first foray into the East Lothian area, bringing its products to a whole new customer base.

The Fife-based bakers have become known for mixing traditional recipes with locally sourced ingredients. It specialises in a wide selection of treats ranging from breads and pastries to savouries and cakes.
However, many will recognise the brand for its now “world- famous” fudge doughnuts that have often been dubbed “the best in Scotland”. Other delicacies available at the walled garden will be the likes of coffee towers, strawberry tarts and freshly baked bread.

Fisher & Donaldson are just one of many independent Scottish suppliers joining the line-up at the newly refurbished Food Market at the Archerfield Walled Garden. Other names include Fidra Gin, Luca’s Ice Cream, Chocolate Tree, Minato Sushi and Edinburgh Preserves.
The East Lothian hospitality, leisure and retail destination has become a popular go-to among families. The site also boasts a café, lifestyle store with homeware and clothing, a garden shop, 18th century walled gardens, a fairy trail and a willow walk.
Its Food Market is currently in the process of being refurbished and is expected to be completed by the autumn, although no official date has been provided. Alongside boasting a new layout, the takeaway food range now includes sandwiches, savouries, soup, salads and speciality drinks
