Transfer window: Top 5 deals, stories and rumours for Monday 3 August
- Marcus Rashford could be on his way to Fenerbahce, with the Turkish club ready to offer a bid for his services, according to The Sun. The report states that Rashford is on a three man shortlist that includes AC Milan winger Rafael Leao and Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr.
- The same publication claims Atletico Madrid are weighing up a move for out-of-favour Manchester City’s Jack Grealish. The playmaker spent last season on loan at Everton and is into the final year of his contract at City, but is attracting admiring advances in the Spanish capital.
- Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is nearing a move to Como, according to Sky Sports. The deal is worth an initial £25.7m plus a further £5.1m in potential add-ons, with Chalobah having already agreed personal terms with the Serie A club. Earlier in the day, Chelsea completed the signing of veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson.
- Newcastle have completed the signing of Czech goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek from Portuguese side SC Braga. Hornicek has put pen to paper on a five-year deal after the Magpies activated his 30million euros (£25.7m) release clause and he becomes the club’s fifth signing of the summer.
- Gonzalo Garcia has joined Fulham from Real Madrid on a five-year contract. The deal, which includes an option for the London club to extend by a further 12 months, sees the 22-year-old Spanish forward reunite with former Real boss Alvaro Arbeloa.
