Scottish students will be nervously awaiting results day tomorrow (Tuesday, August 4). No matter what the grades are, it is worth celebrating all of the hard work that was put into studying.
That’s why Bird & Blend Tea Co. is offering those who recently sat their National 5’s and Highers a viral iced drink completely free of charge. Even teachers who helped out can also claim the freebie as a little gift for helping out students.
From 11am to 5pm, anyone who got their results will be able to claim a free iced superstar matcha latte that is worth £5.25. For those who have been living under a rock, matcha has become the key craze of 2026, spanning everything from beverages to even skincare.

To claim the freebie, Scots students will need to visit one of Bird & Blend’s two Scottish locations. These can be found on 89 Rose Street in Edinburgh and on 215 Byres Road in Glasgow.
Only one free iced superstar matcha latte will be provided to each person and there is no cash alternative. Students will need to bring with them either their A-level & GCSE results, or a valid piece of student ID with them.

As for the hard-working teachers, they can also get grab themselves the freebie to relax with. All they need to do is present their Teacher Reference Number (TRN) or school staff badge.
The iced matcha latte trend has become a sensation, particularly driven by social media. The cold brew usually combines creamy milk and a green tea powder, resulting in a smooth, earthy flavoured drink.
