Popular Nigerian streamer, Carter Efe has claimed that the widely publicised wedding ceremony involving TikTok personalities, Peller and Jarvis was staged for content creation rather than being a genuine marriage.
The content creator made the remarks during a livestream while reacting to discussions about the event, which generated widespread reactions across social media.
According to Carter Efe, he was deliberately left out of the ceremony because, in his view, it was organised as entertainment content and not an actual wedding.
“They do content, they say na wedding. Yes, na content now. You no know? No be real marriage. Na why dem no invite me,” Carter Efe said.
According to him, he believes the organisers intentionally excluded him because the event was designed for online engagement rather than a traditional marriage ceremony.
The discussion later shifted to speculation about whether the couple could announce a pregnancy in the future, with one of the co-hosts suggesting such an announcement might also become part of their content strategy.
“In the next nine months, we go start to dey hear say Jarvis don get belle. So, that one too na content. It’s just content. The belle too, na just content,” the co-host said.
Carter Efe, however, distanced himself from the speculation, cautioning against making comments about Jarvis’ pregnancy.
“But leave that woman belle, o,” he said.
The co-host immediately retracted the remark, adding, “Okay, na true. Make we no dey talk, allegedly, allegedly. Thank God say I remember. Ah, allegedly. Thank God.”
Neither Peller nor Jarvis had publicly responded to Carter Efe’s claims about the nature of their wedding ceremony as of the time of filing this report.
