Alan Bersten and Emma Slater Share Sweet Kiss Onstage at ‘DWTS’ Con

Dancing With the Stars pros Alan Bersten and Emma Slater shared a sweet moment while onstage at the reality TV competition’s highly-anticipated fan convention.

In a video shared by People, Emma, 37, was seen running up to Alan, 32, before the couple embraced and shared a smooch during the Saturday, August 1, show at DWTS Con.

The clip showed Emma placing her arms around Alan’s neck before pressing her palm to his cheek as the pair walked off. Earlier in the night, Alan and Emma performed a duet to Donna Summer’s “Last Dance.”

More than one year earlier, the couple confirmed their relationship while kissing onstage during an April 2025 live show.

“Last year on the last show of [the Dancing With the Stars Live] tour, I was like, ‘I’m gonna kiss her. I’m gonna do it on stage,’” Alan recalled to Us in February, explaining that he asked Emma for permission ahead of time. “I asked her beforehand, because I was pretty scared.”

Emma recalled being surprised by Alan’s idea. “I said, ‘Really?!’” she told Us. “And he says, ‘Yeah, I’m just gonna kiss you.’”

While Emma gave her stamp of approval for the gesture, she “didn’t know” Alan would go forth with the moment.

“He did it, and then we messed up the dance,” she recalled. “Afterwards, the audience was screaming, and it was really loud.”

Since going public with their relationship, Alan and Emma have opened up about their dynamic — and what they love most about each other.

“I think what I love most about Alan is we are very different and I need someone who is — this is going to sound very unromantic — but he is so practical and logical thinking. And he is so matter of fact,” Emma said on a December 2025 “House of Maher” podcast episode. “I love his humor, I love to laugh. It’s a really big thing, to me, to laugh in my relationship. But I love the fact that he really does show affection to me and he takes care of me and I love his heart.”

Alan, for his part, gushed that Emma “cares so much about everyone.”

“She’s going to try to help them out,” Alan said. “She helps me out so much. So on top of just how beautiful our lives are and how romantic we can be and all that, she really wants me to be a better person. And I think that’s important.”

Alan noted that Emma “loves to learn,” which resonates with him. “I’m somebody that’s so attracted to passion and growth and wanting to be better. I’m really attracted to drive and Emma does that all the time,” he said. “Like, she just constantly is reading or researching something. She got her real estate license for fun. She got her notary license for fun. She just likes to learn things. It’s so attractive to see somebody progressing and getting better and learning.”
