Philip Otele is on the verge of joining Serie A club, Leece from Swiss Premier League outfit FC Basel, DAILY POST reports.
The Nigeria Nigeria international spent last season on loan at Bundesliga club SV Hamburg, scoring once in nine league appearances.
Hamburg failed to exercise the purchase option valued between €4.5 million and €5 million in the contract.
According to reports, there will direct talks between Leece and FC Basel this week to complete the transfer.
FC Basel are expected to demand around €3m for Otele the same amount they paid to sign him from UAE Club Al-Wahda in 2025.
Otele is under contract with FC Basel until June 2028.
