The President of Dangote Refinery and Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has said the 700,000-barrel-per-day refinery can help achieve 10 percent of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s $1 trillion economy target by 2030.

He disclosed this when the Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, visited the refinery on Wednesday.

Dangote said President Tinubu’s $1 trillion economy target is achievable by 2030.

The African richest man said the Dangote Refinery is committed to contributing to the achievement of Nigeria’s $1 trillion economy target.

“President Tinubu’s target of achieving a $1 trillion economy by 2030 is achievable. That is why we took out of that vision of a $1 trillion economy so that we can contribute $100 billion, which is 10 percent,” he said in an interview with journalists.

Earlier, Minister Enoh said the refinery is vital to the realisation of the country’s $1 trillion economy target.
