- The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) launched a criminal prosecution covering a six-week period of untaxed vehicle use.
- He was convicted at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court, ordered to pay £3.34 in compensation to the DVLA, and received an absolute discharge.
- The case was processed through the controversial Single Justice Procedure (SJP), a fast-track court process currently under government review due to concerns about vulnerable people being harshly convicted.
