Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, continues to break records with his collaborative World Cup song with Shakira as ‘Dai Dai’ dethrones ‘Waka Waka’ as the highest charting World Cup song in history.
‘Dai Dai’ moved 25 spots up this week to peak at number 17 on Billboard Hot 100, surpassing Shakira and Freshlyground’s ‘Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)’.
The song also peaked at number 3 on the Canadian Hot 100 this week. It is competing for the number one spot on the UK Official Singles Chart this week.
Meanwhile, Billboard has discontinued the World Digital Song Sales chart.
The final issue was dated June 27, 2026.
The chart ranked as one of the most commercially successful songs from territories such as Nigeria Asia, Caribbean, South Africa, and other countries.
Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Mr Eazi and Rema previously topped the chart.
