The terrorists convicted for the Oyo abduction incident were captured on camera wiping their tears after they were sentenced to life imprisonment.
DAILY POST earlier reported that the three insurgents put on trial by the Department of State Services, DSS, over their involvement in the kidnapping of school children and teachers in Orire local government area of Oyo State were on Thursday sentenced to life imprisonment for being members of proscribed terrorist group.
The insurgents are Abdulrazak Umar, alias Abu Khalifa/Abu Khalid; Yunusa Musa, alias Yunusa Bin Musa; and Shamsu Adamu Sani, alias Abu Itisar.
In one of the videos currently trending online, some of the terrorists were seen wiping their faces as they were being taken away by authorities.
The pupils and teachers who were abducted on May 15, 2026, were released on July 10, 2026, after pending nearly two months in the forest.
Some Nigerians have taken to their social media handles to demand the death penalty for the criminal elements.
