The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has officially announced the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course.
In a statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, it was revealed that the orientation course will begin on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, across all orientation camps nationwide.
The three-week programme will take place concurrently in all 36 states of the federation, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and conclude on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The statement further indicated that call-up numbers have been uploaded to the dashboards of prospective corps members, while call-up letters will be made available in due course.
The Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated all prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II service year, acknowledging their successful completion of studies in higher education institutions within Nigeria and abroad, which qualifies them for national service.
He wished them a safe journey to their respective orientation camps and strongly advised them against travelling at night.
Additionally, the Director-General urged them to strictly adhere to all travel and safety guidelines during their journey to the camps.
