The federal government said it has secured the renewal of a Nigerian international passport for a citizen who had experienced delays.

The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.

This comes after a Nigerian woman had taken to her social media account and recounted facing prolonged delays with the Nigerian Immigration Service during her passport renewal process.

However, following intervention by the federal government, she noted that her passport was renewed.

“Good afternoon, everyone. I have to brag a little bit this morning. We saw this randomly online. “Yes, Nigeria works!”, a Nigerian lady simply known as EoNI wrote in a now viral post on her Instagram account.

The development had since sparked reaction on social media.

Reacting, the Director General of PEBEC, Princess Zahrah Audu, reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government commitment to the flight of Nigerians living abroad.
