A body has been found during searches for a man who was reported missing from Aberdeen nearly two weeks ago. Robert Miller was reported missing from Seaton.
The 59-year-old was then last seen on Sunday, July 5 in the area surrounding Glasgow’s Charing Cross Station. Police said in a previous appeal he also had links to Cumbernauld.
Since then, officers have discovered a man’s body in a wooded area near Forest Road in Cumbernauld at around 10.15am on Friday July 17.
The body has still to be formally identified but Robert’s family has been notified. The death is not believed to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.15am on Friday, 17 July, 2026, police discovered a man’s body in a wooded area near Forest Road, Cumbernauld. Formal identification has still to take place, however the family of Robert Miller, 59, who was reported missing from the Seaton area of Aberdeen have been informed.
