Hanan Buhari, the daughter of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has recounted how her late father taught her the importance of integrity and honesty.

She disclosed that Buhari taught her the need to help people without expecting anything in return.

Speaking in Marrakech, Morocco, on Thursday night, Hanna said her late father’s advice played a big role in how she is living her life.

Hanna was recognized as one of the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons of Africa at the Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit.

She said: “I dedicate this honor to my late father, President Muhammadu Buhari, whose guidance, discipline, and constant belief in me helped shape the person I am today. He showed me how important honesty, strength, and helping others without thinking about yourself are.

“His belief in me helped me gain the courage to believe in myself, and I will keep following the values he taught me by working to support women and make a positive difference in society.”
